Beretta UGB25 Xcel

£1,695.00

The Beretta UGB was a totally ground breaking design when it was first launched; the whole concept of a break action semi-automatic set it in a class of its own.The UGB is essentially a trap gun because of its high rib design a feature that also lends itself to driven shooting on account of the built in forward allowance which assists the shooter by building in lead. Different from other semi autos the UGB can be shown to be 100% safe by being able to break the action when out of the stand or not in use. The other main advantage over a standard semi auto is that the spent cases are not ejected from the side of the gun, on to others, but from the bottom of the action downward away from the shooter.
The gun’s opening lever is on the left side and the first cartridge is loaded into the breech with the gun opened in normal fashion. After closing, the second cartridge is then placed on the carrier on the right side of the action. And the rest, as they say, is history.

UGB’s are like buses you do not see one for a while and then two come together, we are lucky enough to have two fine examples which can be purchased as a composed pair, although we will see them separately. This fine example has had little use and is presented complete with manuals and plastic carry case. It has a well figured stock and ergonomic forend. It has the standard black action and is fitted with an over bored Optima 30” Barrel with extended forcing cone complete Optima multichokes, three of which are included. Please note that as with all used guns sold at the Southdown Gun Room you can test the gun before purchase on our award winning sporting layout
