Southdown Gun Club in Sussex hosted and sponsored a Richard Faulds coaching day on the 19th October in Aid of the brain cancer charity brainstrust. Olympic Gold medallist and current world sporting Champion Richard Faulds, who is a patron of brainstrust was contacted by the 5 Bells Gun Club, West Chiltington, after they lost one of their founder members to a brain tumour last year and another member has been diagnosed this year.
5 Bells chairman Steve Wormull explained “We are delighted that Richard has been able to run this event for our members in aid of brainstrust. The charity provided amazing support last year and continue to do so this year, we really can’t thank them enough, so to be able to raise funds in this way is a great activity to raise awareness. We would like to thank Southdown Gun Club for hosting us and providing the clays for the day, it is a wonderful facility and their professionalism and hospitality has truly made it a day to remember”. Southdown’s manager Helen Drury is pictured with Richard Faulds and members of the 5 Bells gun club. The day raised £1,200.
