If you’ve never shot before…

Having a shooting lesson helps to break down the boundaries and misconceptions that clay shooting is a difficult sport to break into as a beginner. Like any interest, there are certain techniques and ‘rules’ that need to be understood, but once you’ve been taught – even with as little as a one-hour lesson – it’s a sport that can be accessible to anyone.

Start as you mean to go on and develop good practice right from the beginning. A lesson helps you get a grasp of the basics, from gun safety and etiquette on the range, to gun fit and stance. It’s not just a case of pointing a gun in the air, and like all sports, there is a degree of theory behind it, that once mastered can make the practical side a lot easier (and more fun!)

Learn at a pace that suits you. Don’t become stressed out trying to advance too quickly before you’ve even started. A couple of lessons will stand you in good stead to go out on your own or with friends confidently and break a few targets safely. One-to-one tuition means that your lesson will be tailored to suit you and your requirements, or you can share your lesson with your partner, friends or family members.

It may turn into a new passion! Do you want to try something new this year, or perhaps you’ve always wanted to give clay shooting a go but don’t know where to start? A one-on-one lesson can be the perfect introduction to the sport, teaching you a new skill and helping you to decide for yourself whether it’s the right sport for you.

If you’re an advanced shooter…

Even if you are an advanced shooter, a lesson may be just what you need to adjust a bad habit or tweak something that may be holding you back. An experienced, professional instructor will be able to help with even the smallest of issues, from correcting a dominant eye to helping with a particular target you might be struggling with.

Over the season you may have started doing something different that’s making you miss clays, and perhaps you just can’t seem to identify the problem. Even just a one-hour lesson can be the perfect reset to help you make the most out of your practice sessions.
