Do you want to reward your team for a job well done? Or hold a sales meeting with an activity afterwards? A staff day out at Southdown Gun Club and Activity Centre is a great way to entertain and reward your staff, whilst introducing them to a sport they may not have tried before.
Our corporate clay shooting challenge is the most popular outdoor team building activity and is designed to suit all abilities, from the complete beginner to a more experienced shot. Beginners will benefit from full coaching, but if your group is more experienced they can enjoy a different selection of targets on our award-winning sporting layout.

What does the day involve?
Team building activities Sussex
Our clay pigeon experience includes a full safety briefing from our Head Coach, supervision and coaching by qualified Southdown instructors, all the necessary PPE including eye and ear protection, a varied selection of have-a-go targets, all the ammunition needed and a range of shotguns, with smaller calibres with lower recoil as required.
Maybe hire our meeting room, which can comfortably accommodate 20-30 people and is fully equipped including IT for presentations, WiFi and refreshments (water, tea, coffee). If you hold a corporate day out or an event at the ground this facility is part of your corporate entertainment package or, alternatively, you can hire the room as a stand-alone facility.
Relax after the shooting has finished and have a celebratory drink with your guests before enjoying a fantastic lunch either served at your table or, for a less formal event, help yourself to a sumptuous buffet. Or why not try our famous Southdown BBQ?

If you’re looking for staff day out ideas with a little competitive fun, ask about our trophy package and hold a mini competition where you can give prizes for the “top gun”, “top lady gun”, “top team”…oh and don’t forget the “save the clay” award for the shooter who has let the most clays get away unscathed!!

Perhaps you are looking to try something completely different, or maybe you would like a full day’s entertainment? Then why not treat your staff to an air gun range or axe throwing experience? We have a variety of activities available to help you reward your team for all of their hard work available on our team building experience in Sussex.
Our staff reward days can be organised for as few as six participants up to 100 or more. They are a fantastic way for teams to socialise and bond outside of the office – we can also host your Christmas Party if you are looking to try something a bit different to celebrate this year!
